Rose Gold and Diamonds to Adorn New iPhone
7/15/2009 2:45:34 AM
After much anticipation, the iPhone 3GS was released, and did not disappoint. iPhone users everywhere couldn’t wait to get their hands on the updated device, and everyone else couldn’t help but notice how much more reasonably-priced UNLOCKED older versions of the iPhone would be.
But, as with all previous incarnations of the most-coveted hand-held device in production, designer Stuart Hughes was ready to take the iPhone to a new level of luxury. With the 3GS, Hughes designed the world’s first 18-karat sold rose gold iPhone.
Requiring four craftspeople, the creation of this ultra-extravagant phone took months. Each of these rose gold iPhones is made from start to finish by hand, and includes a great deal of intricate work. Each phone is made of approximately 150 grams of 18-karat rose gold. 53 brilliant pink diamonds are encased in the apple logo.
Each of these masterpieces of craftsmanship and innovation will be available only through the Stuart Hughes online store, and will cost almost $36,000.
