Diamonds Now Display Even Nano Photographs

In the beginning, anyone who wanted to remember of loved one with a piece of jewelry could wear a locket with their photograph inside. Then, through the same process of creating lab-generated diamonds, a person could have the ashes of a loved one made into a diamond, and a person was able to actually wear their loved one as diamond jewelry. Now, through a process involving nano-photography, a person can have the photograph of a loved one—or a photograph of anything, for that matter—embedded into a diamond.
Gemory LLC recently launched the revolutionary process, available through its website, Gemory.com, and at some jewelry stores, wedding planners or luxury gift sellers. The process, called DiamondPure, permanently embeds a high-resolution grayscale photograph onto any diamond that the buyer wants. Since the diamond is invisible to the naked eye, it is said to not interfere with a diamonds natural beauty or brilliance, although it can affect clarity.
The photograph is visible through Gemory’s own portable viewing device, and, according to a press release, is a great way to celebrate special occasions beyond the giving of a diamond. This is to make each diamond personal in a way that the bracelet, ring, necklace or earrings might not be by itself.
Gemory has also employed the services of EGL USA, which provides an analysis of each diamond before and after the nano-photographic process. According to Mitch Jakubovic, Director of EGL USA’s New York office: “[customers] will also receive an EGL USA report to confirm that their diamond has maintained its original characteristics”. Consumers need to be aware that each diamond certificate carries its own meaning, and should look into it carefully before changing the diamond’s natural attributes.
