Men’s Gold Wedding Rings: They Really Need Our Help with This

So you’re engaged. That’s fantastic! Hopefully, under the close supervision of your friends or family, or with pointers from you, you got the engagement ring of your dreams. Now, after planning almost everything else, it is time to pick out your matching gold jewelry: wedding rings. Yours isn’t a problem. You know what you like and actually get to be there for the selection. The two of you will, together, find a ring you will treasure forever.
But then you will also have to find a men’s wedding ring that he will like enough to want to wear it every day for the rest of his life. Since men tend to be less sentimental than we are, he won’t necessarily look down at his left hand and think romantic thoughts while he lovingly sighs. He’ll need a gold wedding ring that suits his personality, but still matches your wedding ring in some way.
Men’s wedding rings now are so much more varied than they used to be. Although a lot of men still go for a simple gold band, there are other choices that make a little but more of a statement about him. Instead of just saying “I’m married”, a ring can say “I’m a cool married guy”. He can choose a white gold wedding ring, or one with white gold and yellow gold bands. He might want a matte finish to the ring, which makes it look like so much more than a wedding ring. It becomes a great accessory—married or not--without being gaudy in any way. There are platinum men’s wedding rings, and all metals can have diamonds set into them for a little extra sparkle. It all depends on the man and what he likes.
And that is why he will find himself enjoying the wedding ring-buying process with you. By showing him that men’s wedding rings have come a long way since the simple gold “women stay away” ring, and have truly become cool decorations to wear, he might find himself having a few ideas of his own. Even the most skeptical man can find something he finds truly cool, something that he wants to wear every day to make a statement about the kind of man he is. He will not only be your husband; he will be your very sophisticated, well-adorned husband. You might even find yourself wondering when you will get the time to pick out your own ring.
