Designer Marc Jacobs is known worldwide for his high-end clothing, shoes, bags, and countless other luxury items, including his own line of jewelry.  He has maintained a popularity over the years that is so unusual with normally-fickle celebrities.  Although his work is known all over the world, the designer has always kept his private life very private.

Now, he is ready to announce to the world that he plans to get married.  He and his ad executive boyfriend, Lorenzo Martone, have been together for over a year and are ready to take the next big step.  The two just arrived in Martone's native Sao Paulo, Brazil for a celebration of the new Marc Jacobs multibrand store opening there.  Not only are they appearing as a couple, but they are wearing engagement rings.   No wedding date has been set yet.

Engagement rings for men are a relatively new creation, but are becoming more and more popular.  They are available now through many jewelers, although some men wear a very simple wedding band in lieu of an engagement ring.
