Madonna's $100K Diamond Rolex

Madonna's love of diamond jewelry hasn't been a secret since she released the track "Material Girl" in the 1980s. Soon enough, she was able to buy all the diamonds she wanted and more. However, although she had long coveted the Rolex 18-carat gold and diamond-encrusted President Masterpiece, she "couldn't bring herself to spend that much money on a watch", according to "In Touch" magazine.
Despite the rumors of problems in her marriage to director Guy Ritchie, Madonna received two huge surprises from him on her birthday in August: a huge party, and the $100,000 vintage Rolex. She was thrilled with the watch, and with the half-million dollar Bulgari diamond necklace he also bought for her.
Soon after the party, rumblings of the divorce began, and in October, the divorce proceedings began. Although Ritchie had spent close to a million dollars on Madonna at this birthday alone, and despite his huge success as a film director, he walked away from the marriage with a whopping $70 million settlement.
Madonna chose to keep the watch and the necklace, though she has not been photographed wearing either one.
