Rapper Kanye West is in the news again, but it's for more than just an apology to teen country singer Taylor Swift.

Though he appeared at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, he was also a fixture at last week's New York Fashion Week at shows like Tory Burch, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Jeremy Scott, and Rodarte, where he later told Women's Wear Daily magazine he removed the bottom row of his teeth and added diamonds instead. 

He told WWD that the work was done by a dentist in Hawaii but couldn't remember which jeweler provided the "jewels." While WWD did officially report this in its publication, fashion blog Stylelite is finding it quite hard to believe that the Jesus Walks rapper would actually do this.  That being said, here is their conclusion. 

The musician with hits like Stronger and Gold Digger couldn't possibly have diamonds in his mouth because the gems would grind against the soft enamel of his teeth all day long.   Instead, they tell us it may well be a grille, which is common among rappers like Nelly, who sang about it in his hit Grillz.

West may very well have a grille that is so expensive that the rapper didn't want to tell the public just how much he actually paid for it other than to say there were thousands of dollars of stones on his teeth.  This is surprising considering he loves to boast about his own finances.

The Heartless rapper was also asked if he'd attend the shows in London and Paris to which he replied that he'd like to but that he's working on so much music right now so that answer could only be a maybe.  Funny enough, although he did come out with a new song, it seems he's been working on anything but music lately!

Time.com recently poked fun at Kanye's tendencies towards showing off about his luxe lifestyle through Twitter.  The online piece featured more than 10 of West's most bizarre and arrogant Tweets.  They called it 14 Kanye Tweets At Their Best.

In one Tweet, Kanye compared his ego to a piece of clothing. "The ego is overdone…"he wrote, "It's like hoodies."
