If Chad Clay wanted to win big points with the general public for best marriage proposal ever, this was certainly the way to do it. 

At the end of the video, a split second shot of an ideal round-cut diamond engagement ring.  And what girl doesn't love her diamonds—especially when they're backed by a pop of the big question.

Vy Luong thought it was just a silly iPhone ad during the previews portion before the moving showing in the local theatre.  What it really was, was four grueling months of hard work putting together an iPhone-inspired commercial  that would allow Clay the best way to ask his longtime girlfriend for her hand in marriage.
Clay, with the help of his brother who shot the whole thing, put together a video set to look like a fake Apple iPhone tv campaign with music that he recorded  especially for the occasion.

He wanted to show the commercial in the same movie theatre where he and his girlfriend of six years had their first movie date to see Spider-Man 2 in 2004. 

The video, now called the iProposal, has gone on to grab close to a half-a-million viewers on YouTube, and has been reposted on various media websites as well. 
The best part for diamond aficionados? The picture of the ring Clay bought for Luong at the end of the entire thing.  The ring features a one-of-a-kind diamond direct from premiere online retailer JamesAllen.com.  While fans can't get the exact ring they can certainly look at other similar and special ideal round-cut  styles on the site. 

James Allen's Facebook page also features the video as well as a similar style ring.  The Danhov Meno looks just like the ring onscreen.  It has pave diamonds encircling a white gold setting and was created by Danhov, a company that was founded by designer Jack Hovsepian in 1984 and is currently being shown at James  Allen.
