Diamond Bangles and Bracelets and Cuffs, Oh My!

When a woman is presented with a jewelry box that is clearly not small enough to be a ring, we are likely to have two responses: 1, a sigh of relief (we’re as terrified as you are of engagements too soon), and 2, curiosity. Our first assumption is that we are probably getting earrings, which are also a great gift. But we like surprises. Diamond jewelry is always fantastic, and we want to see what you picked out.
When we open the box and see a sparkling diamond bracelet, we are not only surprised, but charmed. The truth is that we like it when you go off-list for our gifts. We know that you are afraid of getting the wrong thing, or—even worse—the right thing in the wrong size. It is always safe to give us jewelry, as long as it matches our personalities. Diamond bracelets are a completely impressive gift, any time, and different bracelets can be good for different occasions. Basically, this is a gift that you can’t screw up.
Celebrities are tearing up the red carpets in diamond bracelets these days. Some are wearing stacks of simple gold bangles with a few diamonds set into them. Some are wearing wide gold cuffs with diamond accents. And, of course, some are wearing bracelets that are diamond-encrusted. Some are mixing them all together and stacking bracelets up to their elbows. It depends on the celebrity, and it depends on the event.
Stacking diamond bracelets is fun because it not only looks really cool, but it sounds cool, too. The way gold and diamond bracelets jangle together is almost musical. With every swing of our arms, with every time we push our hair back behind our ears, with every time we reach for our glass, we are creating our own soundtrack, and it is almost meditative. It is attention-getting without being obnoxious. And you don’t have to break the bank to buy into this trend. One or two gorgeous diamond bracelets mixed with less-showy gold and silver can have the same amazing effect. Surprise her this holiday season by getting her something she doesn’t expect, but will love nonetheless: diamond bracelets.
