Courtney Love Sued For Borrowed Jacob and Co. Diamond Jewelry

Kurt Cobain's over-the-top widow Courtney Love is being sued by New York celebrity jeweler Jacob and Co.  They say she borrowed nearly $114,000 worth of diamond jewelry and didn't return the items as she was supposed to. The lawsuit says the former lead singer of Hole borrowed the jewelry on Tuesday, September 21 but has only returned a mesh floral cuff bracelet.

Other items not returned include two white gold and diamond chains, a pair of white gold and pave diamond hoop earrings.

The lawsuit was filed this week in Manhattan Supreme Court and says Courtney Love needs to return the missing diamond jewelry items or pay for their cost at $113,700.

Love says she lost the diamond earrings and jewelry but Jacob and Co's lawyer Jeffrey Klarsfeld says an agreement with Love affirmed she was responsible for the jewelry regardless of loss or damage.

The lawsuit claims they've only received the bracelet back "despite repeated demand" and that "her detention and retention of the Chain and Earrings are wrong."

Jacob and Co. was founded by jeweler Jacob Arabov and is known for its celebrity clientele which includes David Beckham, Kanye West, Madonna and Paris Hilton. Arabov, aka Jacob the Jeweler, was recently released from federal prison where he was held for lying to federal agents about a drug ring in Detroit.

The rocker and mother of daughter Francis Bean Cobain has made no comment about the suit, but has contacted Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards' son Marlon to visit and treat her twice or three times a week at the house where she will be staying in Dorset, England. Love contacted the "addictions" doctor on Facebook, said it was an emergency, and left her phone number. She is currently staying at the Mercer Hotel in New York

Love recently appeared on Russell Simmons' reality show Running Russell Simmons where they attempted to make peace.  He called Love a crackhead on Twitter.  Love asks Simmons if he can find her a husband on the show during their chat.
