Celebrities Coat Themselves In Diamonds At The Oscars

2/28/2011 4:26:35 AM  Simona Kogan

This year's Oscars were glam, glam, GLAM as celebs packed on the high-end diamond jewelry once again!

The Fighter's Amy Adams wore over $1 million in diamonds on her wrist alone.  The Oscar nominee had on a Cartier platinum and diamond Haute Joailliere secret watch bracelet featuring a 30.75-carat carved emerald and 575 diamonds worth $1.025 million.

That's not all. She also wore platinum and diamond 2-carat stud earrings worth $35,000 and a Cartier platinum and diamond necklace with carved 33.24 carat emerald worth $290,000.  Making her diamond total a cool $1.35 milllion!
Her stunning jewelry wasn't the only thing that sparkled.  Amy's gorgeous royal blue sparkly cap-sleeve gown from L'Wren Scott was truly a vision and made her stand out in the crowd.

Who else wore over $1 million in jewels? Reese Witherspoon, of course! The currently engaged actress looked old Hollywood glam and straight out of Mad Men in a black and white Armani Prive number with a retro 60s updo. To add to the stunning look? Emerald and diamond jewelry from Neil Lane on her wrists, ears, and hand.

Other stars wearing Neil Lane jewels include Black Swan supporting actress Mila Kunis, Jennifer Hudson (she wore 165 carat worth of Neil Lane diamonds on her wrists and ears) and Oscar winner Halle Berry who wore 10-carat Neil Lane diamond earrings.

New mom Penelope Cruz (she's married to actor and director Javier Bardem) wore 27-carat Chopard diamond earrings with her flame accented L'Wren Scott gown and Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence wore Chopard earrings and a bangle.

Academy Award winner Sandra Bullock wore Harry Winston jewelry with her red Vera Wang and Blue Valentine actress Michelle Williams accented her textured Chanel Haute Couture with Harry Winston diamond earrings. Mandy Moore also dressed up her nude Monique Lhuillier splendidly in Chopard diamond jewelry, which included Chopard yellow-gold and pave diamond button earrings and a 13-carat ring.

Oscar host Anne Hathaway went for Tiffany & Co. diamonds with her bright red Valentino Haute Couture.

A new jeweler on the scene—Anna Hu Haute Joaillerie—was seen on newly separated Scarlett Johansson and Boys Don't Cry Oscar winner Hilary Swank.
