Here’s a love story tailored for our digital age – call it love 2.0, if you will. Dave Morin, a senior platform manager at Facebook, proposed to Brittany Bohnet, who works in product marketing at Google, with a message in the sand of a Maldives beach. Bohnet saw the message while the couple was flying overhead in a tiny plane.
Soon after the engagement, the happy couple posted news of their engagement – complete with photographs of the question in the sand – on Twitter and Brittany’s personal blog.
Bohnet and Morin already made headlines in October 2008 after a video of them and a large group of their friends performing Journey’s hit song “Don’t Stop Believing” circulated all over the web.
Although Morin gave Bohnet a diamond engagement ring, a wedding date has not yet been set.
