The world let out a collective gasp when The Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky sent Chris Lambton packing before the big finale. They looked on in awe when a studly Roberto Martinez showed up in his elegant suit to ask a beaming Fedotowsky for her hand in marriage.
Read up on all the wedding details!
But it wasn't the happy couple they were gawking at---it was the beautiful
diamond engagement ring custom-made for the soon-to-be blushing bride.
So what's the real deal on that diamond dazzler? It was created by jeweler to the stars Neil Lane, who consistently makes mouth-watering diamond jewelry, diamond studs, and diamond pendants for celebrity to wear at big events like the Academy Awards. The ring was handcrafted and has a central asscher-cut diamond, with 184 round diamond accents. The ring is worth 3.03 carats!
People.com reports its estimated value is a whopping $50,000. The jeweler says the former Facebook employee was both girly and sophisticated at the same time.
"I wanted to make Ali's dream come true, "said Lane, who met with The Bachelorette to talk about the ring design and see which styles make her eyes light up.
Neil Lane presented this ring and other selections to Martinez and the South Carolina-based insurance agent picked Lane's first choice. Later, Lane spent time in Bora Bora with the to-be-married couple and found to be so happy and in love!
Overall, the look was low-key for a tomboy like Fedotowsky, but she did spice it up with some jewelry including Max & Chloe chandelier earrings with amethyst and peach stones, anthracite and bugle beads, a thick Alexis Bittar bangle, and Jimmy Chooos. Fetman purchased the gems at Neiman Marcus.
"I wanted to keep the jewelry on her arms minimal in case there was a proposal. The earrings were the perfect accent; they added colors but didn't fight the dress," says Fetman.
While The Bachelorette Season 6 provided lots of drama, during its run, in the end it appears that Fedotowsky got what she wanted and The Bachelor's Jake Pavelka is nowhere in sight!
